After a long winter of snow and freezing temperatures, we’re thrilled to welcome spring back to the farm! The days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter, and Riverside will soon be bursting with fresh green pastures, blooming flowers, and the sounds of baby animals playing in the fields. There’s nothing quite like the energy of spring—it brings new beginnings, fresh life, and a renewed excitement for all the joys of farm life!
Farm Baby Update – Cuteness Overload!
Spring also marks the end of another successful lambing season, and we’re overjoyed to share that we have 10 healthy, happy lambs bouncing around the pasture! They’re full of energy, chasing each other through the fields and keeping their mamas on their toes.
But wait—there’s more! We also welcomed six playful baby goats; they’ve completely stolen our hearts. These little ones are full of personality, always looking for mischief and love snuggles. If you’ve never had a baby goat try to climb into your lap, you’re missing out on one of the best things about farm life!
Looking Ahead – Alpaca Babies in the Fall!
While lambing season is over, we’re already looking forward to our next baby boom—alpacas! If all goes well, we’ll welcome some adorable new crias (baby alpacas) between October and November. Did you know that alpacas have one of the most prolonged pregnancies in the animal world? They’re pregnant for nearly a full year before giving birth! So, while we wait for fall, we’ll keep a close eye on our mama alpacas and ensure they’re happy and healthy as they prepare for their little ones.
Spring at the Farm – A Season of Renewal
Spring is always a magical time here at Riverside Oasis Farm. The animals are excited to be out in the fresh grass, the trees are budding, and the farm will soon buzz with new life everywhere we look. We can’t wait to share all the season's adventures with you—watching the lambs grow, welcoming visitors to the farm, or preparing for a bountiful summer ahead.
