Meet Our Farm Family
Alpacas – Everyone falls in love with our charismatic, photogenic alpacas the moment they meet them. These charming creatures aren’t just adorable, they’re hardy, unique, and full of personality. Just take a look at their quirky hairstyles! From the very beginning, alpacas have been at the heart of our farm, and today, they help make Riverside Oasis one of the most memorable farm destinations in Ontario.
Goats – Our goats are anything but boring! Packed with character, a touch of stubbornness, and a bottomless appetite, they keep us laughing and on our toes, and honestly, they’re probably the animals we talk about the most! Whether they’re climbing, nibbling, or causing mischief, they always steal the show. If you’re looking for fun and memorable farm tours in Ontario, our goats are guaranteed to be a highlight.
Chickens – Chickens are the classic starter animal for any homestead - and for good reason. They’re low-maintenance, highly productive, and always busy contributing to farm life. Their fresh eggs make every breakfast more delicious and nutritious, and they naturally help with pest control and cleaning up after our messier eaters (we're looking at you, alpacas and goats!). We’re also excited to start raising meat chickens soon, continuing to grow our sustainable farming journey.
Sheep – As our first step toward a more self-sustaining lifestyle, we raise high-quality, pasture-raised lamb from a small, carefully tended flock. By diversifying our ethically raised meat sources, we're building a more resilient farm system. Our sheep aren’t just part of the farm—they’re an essential part of our sustainability story.
Barn Cats – Our farm cats may be the quietest members of the crew, but they’re just as important. Fierce mousers, curious wanderers, and always ready to nap in a sunny spot, they help keep the barn pest-free. More than just working animals, they bring comfort, character, and a little mischief to everyday life on the farm - earning their place in our hearts and in the rhythm of Riverside Oasis.

We adore our farm animals and the joy they bring to our lives. Each one has its own unique, playful personality and adds something special to our farm and we can't wait for you to meet the crew during your farm tour.
Overnight guests staying at our yurts are invited to join our evening farm tour as part of their stay. We also provide personal & group farm tours every Saturday, Sunday and Monday including feeding and photos with the alpacas, goats, chickens, sheep, and, of course, the super friendly barn cats. For those curious about animal care, sustainable farming and living, we are always happy to answer questions and share our experience!
Please feel free to bring along a picnic to enjoy after the farm tour by the river. Farm tour guests (day visitors) may stay for up to one hour after the farm tour is complete to enjoy a picnic.
