We currently provide portable toilets located just 20 feet or less from the yurts. They are professionally cleaned and serviced regularly to ensure a comfortable and hygienic experience. We are working on building permanent washroom and shower facilities, and will update this page as soon as they are completed.
Due to limited floor space, this is not possible - our yurts sleep up to 4 adults only. We may allow you to bring a tent for extra people - please inquire.
Each yurt features a queen-sized bed with linens, a pull-out daybed that comfortably sleeps two adults, a wood-burning stove, a stocked kitchenette & indoor seating, and an outdoor deck with seating. You'll also have an outdoor fire pit, plus kitchen essentials like a camping stove, BBQ, sink, cookware, dishes, and utensils.
We offer time with the animals (alpacas, goats, chickens & barn cats) and provide feed so you can get close to them for fun and cute photos. A farm tour is held each evening when putting the animals in the barn to bed. We have a riverside walking trail and kayaks/paddle-boards are included in your stay and we provide outdoor games by the yurts (during warmer months). A yurt is a portable, circular dwelling made of a lattice frame and poles and covered in insulator felt and weatherproof fabric. They are a sturdy, reliable type of tent. Yurts have been the primary style of home in Central Asia, particularly Mongolia, for thousands of years.
Our yurts are sourced from a Canadian supplier who believes in sustainability and tradition. They are mostly handmade in Mongolia with deep rooted links to the history of yurt living.
Yurts are warm, breathable and rich in tradition, connecting the earth to the sky providing shelter in both rustic and modern environments.
Our yurts are designed for all-season comfort and have wood burning stoves for cozy heat. In severe or increment weather conditions, we will communicate any necessary precautions or changes to your stay. On occasion we may need to close the farm at short notice during dangerous weather and you will be offered a credit or refund if it's prior to your visit. If you are at the farm and we have to close you will be offered a credit.
Each yurt is heated with a wood-burning stove and all the firewood you'll need is provided. Once the weather gets colder, we can pre-start the stove before your arrival if requested so the space is cozy for you (sometimes after we light a fire it does go out so you may need to get it going on arrival). During your stay, all you need to do is top up the stove as needed. We include instructions in your check-in info and on the yurt noticeboard.
