Guests must accept all Terms & Conditions in order to visit Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat and are expected to observe and follow the guidelines below to help maintain the quality of our facilities and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone. Failure to comply with these terms may result in Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat declining further use of the premises.
CHECK IN AFTER: 3.00pm (unless early 1pm check in booked)
CHECK OUT BEFORE: 11.00am (unless late 1pm check in booked)
CANCELLATIONS: Reservations that are cancelled more than 14 days prior to the arrival date will be fully refunded less booking fees (5%). Reservations that are cancelled 24 hours to 14 days prior to arrival can be rescheduled free of charge for up to 12 months after the original booking, but will not be refunded.
SMOKING POLICY: This is non-smoking accommodation and property. Smoking is prohibited in the yurts and on the farm. Smoking will result in the guest being asked to leave the property (no refund will be issued).
NOISE POLICY: Guests are asked to respect the other guests and our neighbors by keeping music and voices quiet after 10:00PM. No events, parties or weddings are permitted on the premises without prior written permission.
PET POLICY / SERVICE ANIMALS: Only dogs (max of 2) are permitted in the yurts and are not allowed on furniture or beds inside the yurt at any time. If you wish to bring your dog, you must pay the relevant fees when making the reservation. Owners of service animals should contact us prior to arrival for details on how we can accommodate your needs. Guests arriving with dogs who have not paid the relevant fees will be charged prior to checking into the yurt or forfeit the reservation fee. Any excessive debris caused by pets will be liable for additional charges. Please clean up after your dog and do not leave your dog unattended in a yurt unless in a crate. Dogs must be on a leash on the property. Dogs are not permitted close to the farm animals.
STORM POLICY/CONDITIONS: No refunds will be given for weather such as strong wind, heavy rain, flooding, flash flooding, thunder/lightning, hurricanes, hale, sleet, snow, ice, or other forms of severe weather such as extreme heat, drought or extreme cold.
DISCLAIMER: Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat and its owners are not responsible for any illnesses, accidents, injuries, or deaths that occur while on the premises or its facilities, nor is Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat or its owners or the property owners responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests (we strongly recommend leaving any valuable items locked in your vehicle). The property is located in an active farming environment and all precautions should be taken accordingly by guests.
CHECK-OUT CONDITION: Upon check-out you will be charged an additional damage fee based on the cost of repair / remediation if any of the following has occurred: • Damage is done to the yurt or the property beyond normal wear and tear. • Linens are permanently stained, lost, or damaged. • Excessive debris removal or cleaning required. • Damage to any of the provided items within or surrounding the yurt.
MERCHANDISE: Guests may not take any of the items provided with their rented premises without the prior permission of the owner. Certain branded items may be purchased, please see welcome emails or ask for available items.
INDEMNIFICATION AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK: By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises. GUEST(S) AGREE TO INDEMNIFY RIVERSIDE OASIS FARM & RETREAT AND ITS OWNERS AND THE PROPERTY OWNERS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW FROM AND AGAINST ANY LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE SUSTAINED BY ANY PERSON INCLUDING ANY INVITEES OF GUEST(S).
FORCE MAJEURE: In the event that we are unable to provide accommodations or other services or products due to an "Act of God," riots, pandemics, epidemics, strikes, declared states of emergency, or any act or order which is beyond our control, Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat or its owners and the property owners shall not be obligated to refund payments received in connection with such services or products. In such cases, such non-refunded payments will be applied toward future bookings at Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat; provided any such re-booking is made within one year of the original booking.
KAYAK WAIVER: All guests acknowledge that kayaking involves inherent risks, including but not limited to changing weather and water conditions, collisions, capsizing, and other hazards that could result in injury or loss of life. All guests voluntarily assume all risks associated with kayaking on the river. Guests agree to follow all safety instructions provided and to wear a properly fitted life jacket at all times while on the water. Guests confirm that they are in good health, capable of swimming, and able to safely operate a kayak. In consideration of being permitted to use Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat’s kayaks and related equipment, all guests release, waive, and hold harmless Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat, its owners, employees, property owners and volunteers from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from guest participation.
AGREEMENT: I agree that my liability for this bill and all charges associated with the reservation are not waived and I agree to be held personally liable in the event that the indicated person, company, or group fails to pay the full amount of charges.
WARNING: under Ontario law, an agritourism provider is not liable for the death or injury or illness of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if that injury or death or illness results from the inherent risks of that agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, but are not limited to, the risk of injury inherent to land, equipment and animals as well as the potential for you as a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
By entering Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat (“the business and Property”), I / all guests acknowledge and agree to the following:
Assumption of Risk: Guests understand that farm activities, outdoor environments, animals, and related experiences involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, animal bites, allergic reactions, weather conditions, drowning, falling heavy black walnuts from trees around the property and yurts, at times various bugs / swarms in the yurts and around the yurts (different types of bugs in different seasons - we are on a farm) and other fruits, nuts, objects etc falling from trees and other and all unforeseen hazards. Guests voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, or loss and accept full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of any minors or guests in their care.
Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests release, waive, and discharge Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat, its owners, employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or actions arising from participation in any activity or use of the Property, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
Indemnification: Guests fully agree without question to indemnify and hold harmless Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat and its owners and property owners from any claims, damages, or expenses, including legal fees, arising out of their presence on the Property or participation in activities. Guests agree to follow all posted rules, instructions, and safety guidelines provided by the Farm.
Acknowledgment: Guests confirm they have read, understood and fully accept to be bound these Terms & Conditions & waiver and agree it is binding upon themselves, their heirs, and representatives.
Guests Agree: When making a booking on the website guests must check mark a box confirming they agree to all information on the Terms & Condition page. If a guest does not agree with anything noted on the Terms & Condition page they will not be able to complete their reservation and visit Riverside Oasis Farm & Retreat.
We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for all guests. If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
